Whether you’re just starting out or have been a professional speaker for a few years, you’ll have new tools for mastering your brilliance, sharing that brilliance in front of an audience, getting paid for your brilliance and shining that brilliance with integrity.
International Speaking Day
This session is designed for speakers who want to, or already do, speak internationally and is appropriate for both speakers inside and outside the United States. The session will cover the following topic areas: legal and financial implications, marketing/promotion, cultural acumen and business models.
Are you influencing the future of the speaking profession in your chapter? Are you a leader in your chapter now or plan to be in the future? Then join us for this half-day session where you will have an opportunity to network with other chapter leaders from around the country and learn effective skills to strengthen you and your chapter. Breakfast and networking is from 7:00am-8:00am. The program begins at 8:00am.
Million Dollar Speakers Group
This is a high-level, peer-to-peer learning session designed exclusively for NSA Members who have speaking- related businesses generating annual revenues of more than $1 million. Participants will brainstorm best practices and work on pressing challenges with their peers. A topic of discussion building on the Winter Conference meeting is about “How do we take a million-dollar company to 100 million?” You’ll start new relationships with other successful members and leave with cutting-edge insights and strategies on how to grow your business, keep your competitive advantage and reduce complexity.
Verification of revenue is required to participate in this program.
Sports Celebrity Speaker Workshop
As a professional athlete, you have achieved great success that most of us can only dream of. You’ve put in years of blood, sweat and tears to make that a reality. People are intrigued to hear about the challenges you had to overcome to achieve greatness and the lessons you learned along the way. For years, the media has talked about your success; now it’s time to tell your story with confidence. This workshop is designed for all professional and retired athletes who want to improve their presentation skills and learn more about the speaking profession.
First Timer Orientation and Reception
A great first time experience at Influence can have a direct impact on your speaking career. Many NSA members attend Influence every year, even turning down speaking opportunities to be present. Those who keep coming back remember how their initial participation introduced them to great ideas and amazing people. If this is your first time at Influence (or even your 10th time) you do not want to miss the First Timer Orientation hosted by Thom Singer, CSP. Thom is known as “The Conference Catalyst” and he will show you ways to maximize your conference and make better connections than you have at any other event you have ever attended in the past. You will come away from this session with fresh ideas on networking, having met new people, and a better understanding of NSA. This session is not just limited to first time attendees, all are encouraged to participate.

Kick off every morning at Influence before each general session with The Morning Buzz. Grab your breakfast and coffee and join us for this daily interactive program (different every day) to set the tone for your whole day and guarantee you will meet new people.
NSA Youth Leadership Conference
Influence 2017 offers a program, designed for youth ages 10 to 16 years. Those enrolled in the program participate in creative, educational and social activities that help mold them into the best individuals they can be. This special program provides a unique opportunity for participants to interact with speaking professionals and peers in a fun, safe environment.
