    No Barriers

    Erik Weihenmayer

In 2001, as Erik descended from Mt. Everest, becoming the first blind person to reach the summit, his team leader pulled him aside and said, “don’t make Everest the greatest thing you ever do.” Despite the abrupt timing of this remark, Erik took it to heart and has spent the better part of his life exploring what it means to live a No Barriers Life. That is, not a life without barriers, without struggle, where anything is possible, but rather a dive into the heart and mind at the core of the turbulent human experience. It is an exploration of the light that burns in all of us, the obstacles that threaten to extinguish that light, and the treacherous path of becoming a pioneer, practicing alchemy and reaching towards growth and rebirth to find our own summits and elevate the world.

Phil not only restored his artistic abilities, he became a much more creative and innovative artist than ever before. What Most People Don’t Know About Robert Cialdini and the Science of Influence – a Fireside Chat with Verne Harnish

Robert Cialdini, PhD, & Verne Hanish

Although most of us know about Robert Cialdini’s Principles of Influence, there a few questions that come to mind: How did he develop these principles? How did he test them? What exactly makes it a “science?” Before Cialdini studied and measured different strategies, he went on an undercover, three year mission, with a goal to understand the different approaches of Influence. He spent three years undercover, changed his name, persona, and even the way he dressed. During this time, he applied for various jobs, observed the best of the best, and took training on how to convince others of the value of his employer’s offerings. Cialdini will present on the research he did that was powerful, but not yet popular at the time. What lessons can we learn from this and what can all of this mean for you and your speaking business? This session will answer all the above and much more!
